Our Annual Pet Blessing is a big thing. If you have not attended one or witnessed such a blessing, you will find it to be a very normal experience. Individuals will be worshiping side-by-side with their animal companions. People will be petting and stroking their beloved pets. Most animals will be quiet, calm and comfortable. There will be a handful that may be a little anxious or curious. Most will just be totally comfortable in their companion’s arms.
Worship will happen as usual…as normal. This blessing will be on a Saturday night at a Saturday liturgy. This too, is a worthwhile experience.
The date is January 20th and the time is 5:00 P.M. – all are welcome, as are all household animal companions. Just remember – you are responsible for your pet. If a pet needs a break, take them out of the sanctuary. If they need to go outside, feel free to do so. Moriah Joy will be attending! She is so looking forward to meeting new animal friends! Woof!
