Our first class is on September 18th at 9:00 A.M. and the coffee is on!
It is actually pronounced…pe·ric·o·pe (pəˈrikəpē) now that we have that established…what in the heck is it? Lol Pericope is a selection from a book.
On a weekly basis we have four different pericopes, encompassing four different books. We have a reading from the Hebrew Bible; We have a reading from the Psalter; we have the reading of an Epistle or from the Book of Acts; and we have a gospel reading…every single week. These four readings constitute the “proper lessons” or the “proper pericope” for the weekend. In the class known simply as being “Pericope” we go over the four lessons and decipher their meaning for us. We meet in the church kitchen, every Sunday (except Easter) at 9:00 A.M. and we discuss. The class is 45 minutes in length. It is open to all confirmed members of the church! Don’t be shy, give it a try! I bet you get “hooked!”

You are always welcome in our midst. You do not have to read. You do not have to say anything. Just come and listen to what others have to say! When it comes time to go into church – you will be amazed at how much you now know!
